The customer fell in love with the enchanting colours and brilliant lustre of the lilac and purple hues of these natural no heat sapphires. Our simple design showcases the enchanting colours and can be worn with nearly everything. She pairs them with everyday, casual outfits, but they can also be just as stunning against a dazzling evening gown.
Blue Topaz Ring
The customer wanted a ring to match a pair of blue topaz earrings she had. Using gems from jewellery that she no longer wore, we created a one-of-a-kind, colourful floral design. The result is a stunning, bejewelled piece and an excellent example of how old jewellery can be rejuvenated to shine once again.
Blue Topaz, Tanzanite, Yellow Sapphire and Peridot Earrings
The customer wanted a pair of earrings which she could wear with most of her outfits. She was looking for something bright, cheerful and happy. Reminiscent of a beautiful sun-filled Mediterranean day, the final combination of blue topaz, tanzanite, yellow sapphires and peridot were from La Putri’s collections, with diamond highlights for added sparkle.
Imperial Topaz Earrings
The customer was very taken by the fiery fold flecks in this pair of brilliant imperial topaz, selected from La Putri’s collection. We suggested a sophisticated design using baguette diamonds to enhance the step-cut element from the topaz, finishing the design with round diamonds. The simple yet elegant results was perfect for the customer to use on a daily basis.
The gemstones came from a piece of old jewellery, which held some sentimental value. However the original design was not in line with the owner’s lifestyle. We worked together to convert it into a cuff bangle. By marrying something old with something new, we retained the original vintage feel, fashioned with a whimsical, contemporary take.
Peach Pearl Earrings
The customer was enchanted by the very unique natural peachy-coral colours of the pearls, selected from La Putri’s collections. They also had a sense of fluidity and softness. Hence we developed a marine theme using various coloured sapphires and diamonds to build playful imagery of sea-animals frolicking amongst the coral.
Red Spinel Royal Necklace
The centre piece to this pendant is a Red Spinel, a very special collector’s gem. It deserved the royal treatment. Nothing less than radiant diamonds would do, all set within a fine detailed frame inspired by the opulence of the Romanesque era.
Tourmaline Garden Ring
The customer had a few pieces of watermelon tourmaline carved flowers and wanted to develop a “Flower”theme around them. We added sapphires and other coloured tourmaline to bring out the colours of her own watermelon tourmaline flowers, and adde “Butterflies” to inject some life. This piece is a pendant cum brooch, and is detachable from the bangle – multi-functional and very versatile. The bangle can be worn on its own, and, the customer can create even moe looks by attaching other tops to the bangle.
Tourmaline Leaf Pendant/Brooch
It all started with the customer falling in love with the natural and life-like carving of the leaf, which is a single piece of natural tourmaline from La Putri’s collection. With her own tourmaline, she wanted to develop a statement piece of jewellery. Taking from the idea of leaf, we created the leaf’s stems and other elements, all the while respecting the flow of the carving.
The centre piece is a very brilliant mint tourmaline, of exceptional cut and fire. For this gentleman’s ring, the owner wanted to achieve a balance between the crispness of mint and bold masculinity. Hence we created a chiselled foundation for the ring casing, enhanced with diamonds. The tourmaline appeared as if on a throne of solidity. Perfect for this gentleman customer.
We made an heirloom emerald the centrepiece of this ring, adding bright green peridot, yellow sapphire pear-cuts, and design twists to liven up the look and match the customer’s fashion-forward style. The gemstones, for instance, were set unconventionally with the cults pointing upwards. This ring, featuring the emerald inherited from her mother, became an especially meaningful gift for Mum.
Pink Sapphire Bangle
This customer had collected a parcel of pink sapphires from a while ago. Inspired by a La Putri bangle, she wanted to use her own pink sapphires to create a vision of pink flowers floating on a shimmering river. It was a challenging bangle to complete because we aspired to create life-like three-dimensional flowers, balanced against the softness of the flow of each row of diamonds.
Sapphire and Tourmaline Statement Necklace
This was created to match a rich shimmering marine blue gown. Rather than wear a conventional diamond necklace, the customer wanted something that was more unique and yet glamorous as it was for a very special occasion. She selected the opals from La Putri’s collection, and we matched them with blue sapphire “leaves” and Paraiba tourmaline gemstones, to bring out an ethereal vision of turquoise and blue hues. Of course diamonds were a necessity to complete the sense of luxury.
